PM Modi Holds Bilateral Meeting With NSA Michael Waltz In Washington, EAM Jaishankar, Doval Also Present

<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz at Blair House in Washington DC.</p>
<p>External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval are also present at the meeting at Blair House, where PM Modi is staying during his US visit.&nbsp;</p>
<p>PM Modi arrived in the US on a two-day visit to hold high-stakes talks with President Donald Trump amid concerns in New Delhi over Washington’s new America First trade agenda as well as its policy on immigration. Modi and Trump will hold bilateral discussions in the White House on Thursday.</p>
<p>He is the fourth foreign leader hosted by Trump in the weeks after his inauguration last month. Within less than a month of the start of Trump&rsquo;s second term in the White House, the Republican President has hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and Jordan’s King Abdullah II.</p>
