by aweeincm1

A Hyderabad man allegedly killed his wife and attempted to cover up the crime by chopping up the body and boiling the parts in a pressure cooker. Guru Murthy, 45, a former soldier who works as a security guard with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), allegedly confessed to the police, but his horrific story is yet to be corroborated.

Venkata Madhavi, 35, was reported missing by her family on January 16. When the police began investigating, they suspected her husband. When they questioned him, he detailed a gruesome crime.

Police Inspector Nagaraju said, “The parents had lodged a missing complaint with us. The husband also came with them. We grew suspicious and questioned him. He confessed to this crime.”

Guru Murthy reportedly claimed to the police that he chopped up his wife’s body in the bathroom and boiled the parts in a cooker. He went on to separate the bones, according to the account, ground them using a pestle and boiled them again. After multiple rounds of cooking flesh and bones for three days, he allegedly packed the remains and dumped them into a Lake. The claims are being verified.

The couple has two children, a boy and a girl.

The two reportedly had frequent fights. It is not clear why and how the alleged murder took place.
