<p>Social media posts falsely claim that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer neglected to wish British mothers a happy Mother’s Day on March 30 but did wish Muslims a happy Ramadan.</p>
<p>One <a title=”X post” href=”https://x.com/Inevitablewest/status/1906426819177525294″ target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow noopener”>X post</a>, posted at 9:22 in the evening on March 30, had gathered over 100,00 views by April 1, reads, “Keir Starmer wished Muslims a happy Ramadan, but refused to wish British mother’s [sic] a Happy Mother’s Day. He doesn’t even hide it anymore. This man is a woman-hating Islamist.” <a title=”Similar posts” href=”https://www.facebook.com/huntphilip1967/posts/pfbid02Gwtc5FgdSSAzjG4U3KmftBJYvgQPfCwCnNHYFwHHmWs1dJULkM3saR6seGme9FjFl” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow noopener”>Similar posts</a> also circulated on Facebook.</p>

<p>We found this <a title=”March 30 post” href=”https://www.instagram.com/keirstarmer/p/DH0HihUNfLI/” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow noopener”>March 30 post</a> on Keir Starmer’s Instagram, wishing mothers a Happy Mother’s Day. The date of the post coincides with the <a title=”celebration of Mother’s Day ” href=”https://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/uk/mothering-sunday” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow noopener”>celebration of Mother’s Day </a>in the United Kingdom. The <a title=”same post” href=”https://www.facebook.com/KeirStarmerLabour/posts/pfbid0bWV86r3GR55BoLQHuEHay9aiPTShBUZuvS2hqhVcgoHShWCPQpQzgagufjRVjsXHl” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow noopener”>same post</a> appeared on Keir Starmer’s Facebook profile about 30 minutes before <a title=”his post wishing Muslims a happy Ramadan” href=”https://www.facebook.com/KeirStarmerLabour/posts/pfbid0cB9QBMaPDjQToPbP2ivBUz2YFZDfa9uPuoAn6HAZe7gkVy3X1YdSg33hneYppx4xl” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow noopener”>his post wishing Muslims a happy Ramadan</a> in recognition of Eid, which fell on the same day as Mother’s Day. Starmer also published the <a title=”Mother’s Day post on LinkedIn” href=”https://www.linkedin.com/posts/keir-starmer_thinking-of-my-late-mum-today-who-so-influenced-activity-7312005838133497856-YYfj?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop&amp;rcm=ACoAACajehkBHw2Xhxjs4kMNgkvMo34Ocia9PCw” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow noopener”>Mother’s Day post on LinkedIn</a>. Starmer’s well wishes for Ramadan only appeared on Facebook.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Logically Facts has contacted the Prime Minister’s office for comment but did not immediately hear back.</p>

<p>Starmer posted on multiple social media platforms wishing British mothers a happy Mother’s Day. Therefore, we have marked this claim as false.</p>
