<p>Confirming the event, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, &ldquo;The president will be announcing a tariff plan that will roll back the unfair trade practices that have been ripping off our country for decades. It&rsquo;s time for reciprocity and it&rsquo;s time for a president to take historic change to do what&rsquo;s right for the American people,” reported Business Standard.</p>

<p>According to official communication from the US, Trump is scheduled to reveal new ‘country-specific’ tariffs at 4 PM (local time) which according to India’s time zone falls at 1:30 AM on Thursday, April 3, 2025.</p>
<p>However, no details have been shared about the tariffs from the American administration.&nbsp;Reports suggest that the new tariffs will take effect immediately following the announcement. However, a 25 percent tariff on auto imports is set to be implemented from April 3, according to Reuters.</p>
