US Strikes 3 Iran Nuclear Sites, Trump Says ‘Now Is Time For Peace’

<p>US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that Washington completed a “very successful attack” on three nuclear sites in Iran including Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow. In another post social media post, Trump said, “Fordow is gone.”&nbsp;</p>
<p>”We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.&nbsp;</p>
<p>”Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he added. &nbsp;</p>
<p>The US military action comes amid aerial combat between Iran and Israel for more than a week resulting in deaths and injuries on both sides.&nbsp;</p>
<p>According to a senior Israeli official, the US deployed six B-2 stealth bombers in the strike on Iran reported Axios. A US official also confirmed the same to Reuters. The Israeli official added that Trump administration had notified Israel in advance about the strikes, so were the Republicans senators in the US, but not the democrats, reported CNN.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>”Israel is much safer now,” Trump told Axios in a phone call after the strikes. He will hold a press conference at 10 pm EST (7:30 am IST).&nbsp;</p>
<p>The three nuclear sites targeted by the US were already evacuated “some time ago”, reported Mahr news agency.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Trump had been issuing a series of cryptic responses over the week on attacking Iran. When asked if the US is “moving closer” to strking Iranian nuclear facilties, he said: “I may &nbsp;do it, I may not do it, nobody knows what I’m going to do&hellip;”&nbsp;</p>
<p>The US President gave this remark after a highly-publicised threat by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayaotallah Ali Khamenei. The Supreme Leader warned the US that it would suffer &ldquo;irreparable damage&rdquo; if it engages in military action against Iran amid its conflict with Israel.</p>
