US Envoy Accidentally Blames Israel For ‘Chaos, Terror’ At UN, Then Corrects It To Iran: WATCH

<p>Amid the ongoing tension between Israel and Iran, a US envoy fumbled at a meeting of the UN Security Council on Friday and accidentally blamed Jerusalem for causing “chaos, terror and suffering” in the Middle East. However, she corrected herself later.</p>

<p>Dorothy Shea, the US Charg&eacute; d&rsquo;Affaires ad interim to the UN, was condemning the action of Iran against Israel during a speech at the UNSC.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Dorothy said that, “Israel’s government has also spread chaos, terror and suffering throughout the region&rdquo;. However, she then takes an awkward pause and then corrects herself quickly and repeats the sentence, “Iran’s government has also spread chaos, terror and suffering throughout the region.”</p>
<p>&ldquo;Let us not forget that the Iranian government was an enabling and ideological material force behind Hamas’s deadly assault on Israel,&rdquo; she then continued with her speech.</p>
<p>This slip-up by the US diplomat on such a big platform has went viral on social media platforms.&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Iran Expects India To Condemn Israeli Military Actions</h2>
<p>A senior Iranian diplomat said on Friday that Iran expects India and other like-minded nations to condemn Israeli military aggression against it, as such actions are a breach of international law. According to news agency PTI, Mohammad Javad Hosseini, the deputy chief of mission at the Iranian embassy, also hoped that Pakistan would not do anything that will harm Iran’s interest. His response on Pakistan came when asked at a media briefing about Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir’s meeting with US President Donald Trump in the White House on Wednesday.</p>
<p>There is speculation that Washington was looking at using Pakistani military bases in case it decides to launch attacks on Tehran. Hosseini also said that India is a leader of the Global South, and Iran expects New Delhi to condemn the Israeli actions of breaching international law by attacking a sovereign country.&nbsp;</p>
