<p>Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday called Prime Minister Narendra Modi and condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which led to the deaths of 26 people last month.</p>
<p>Putin offered his support to India in the fight against terrorism and said that the perpetrators of the heinous attack must be brought to justice, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said.</p>
<p>The MEA spokesperson also said that the two leaders reiterated their commitment to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries.</p>

<p>”President Putin @KremlinRussia_E called PM @narendramodi and strongly condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam, India. <p>He also said that Prime Minister Modi conveyed his greetings to the Russian President on the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day. Modi also invited Putin for the Annual Summit to be held in India later this year.</p>
<p>Last week, Russian Foreign Minister Segey Lavrov had called External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and discussed the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack.</p>
<p>The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Jaishankar and Lavrov discussed topical issues of Russian-Indian interaction as well as the exasperation of Indian-Pakistani relations following the terrorist act in Jammu and Kashmir.</p>
