<p>Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan met his son, Mark Shankar, at a hospital in Singapore on Wednesday, where the seven-year-old is receiving treatment for burn injuries and lung complications following a fire incident at a school.</p>
<p>According to Janasena Party, as per PTI, Shankar’s condition is steadily improving. The child reportedly sustained smoke inhalation injuries during the fire, which broke out during a summer camp session attended by around 30 children. One child died and several others were hospitalised.</p>
<p>In a press release, the party stated, as per the agency, “Tests are being conducted to assess the health impact caused by smoke inhalation, and his condition is gradually improving,” </p>
<p>Kalyan, who had been touring Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam and Alluri Sitharama Raju districts, cut short his visit and took a flight from Hyderabad to Singapore late Tuesday night. Upon arrival, he went directly to the hospital to be by his son’s side.</p>
<p>On Wednesday morning, Mark Shankar was moved from the emergency ward to a private room for continued care. Medical observation and diagnostic tests are expected to continue over the next three days.</p>
<p>The actor-turned-politician also expressed gratitude to the medical team in Singapore and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian High Commission for their support during the difficult time.</p>
<h3>Bronchoscopy Done Of 7-Year-Old</h3>
<p>On Tuesday, addressing reporters in Andhra Pradesh, Kalyan shared that his son, aged around seven, was undergoing a bronchoscopy procedure under general anaesthesia.”I will be leaving for Singapore tonight. My son is going through a bronchoscopy under general anaesthesia today. I don’t know what the long-term impact of it is. Singapore High Commissioner in India also conveyed their concern and said that whatever support is needed, it will be done. He’s around seven years old. I would be leaving (for Singapore) by a 9:30 pm flight,” he said, as per a report on IANS.</p>
<p>“Initially, I thought it was a minor incident. I had no idea about the seriousness of it,” he added.</p>
