Pahalgam Terror Attack Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the terrorists and their “patrons” want Kashmir to be “destroyed again”, days after a terror attack in Pahalgam left 26 people dead. He said the perpetrators and conspirators of Tuesday’s attack will be “served with the harshest response”.
“I can feel that the blood of every Indian is on the boil after seeing the pictures of the terrorist attack,” he said in his monthly radio broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
“The attack shows the desperation of the patrons of terrorism; displays their cowardice… at a time when peace was returning to Kashmir, there was a vibrancy in schools and colleges, construction work had gained unprecedented pace, democracy was getting stronger, the number of tourists was increasing at a record rate, people’s income was increasing, new opportunities were being created for the youth,” PM Modi added.
“Terrorists and their patrons want Kashmir to be destroyed again; that is why such a big conspiracy was hatched,” he said and reiterated that the victims of the terror attack will get justice.
Since the April 22 Pahalgam attack, security forces have demolished the houses of about 10 terrorists across Jammu and Kashmir. Among them was the house in Anantnag belonging to Adil Hussain Thokar, who has been identified as one of the attackers who opened fire at the Baisaran meadow.
