<p>Israel and Iran launched fresh cross-border attacks on each other overnight into Sunday stoking fears of a widespread conflict.&nbsp;</p>
<p>While Israel targeted Iran’s Defence Ministry headquarters, Tehran unleashed a fresh barrage of missiles.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Iran-US nuclear talks which Washington said were the only way to halt Israel’s bombing and slated for Sunday were called off by Tehran. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that the attacks were nothing compared with what Iran would see in the coming days.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Israel Iran’s Cross Firings&nbsp;</h2>
<p>The conflict continued into Sunday as new explosions were heard in Tehran while Iranian missiles entered Israel’s skies killing four in an apartment building in the Galilee region, reported Associated Press.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In Tehran, Israel targeted Iran’s Defence Ministry headquarters as well as sites that it alleged were associated with the country&rsquo;s nuclear program.&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Israel Claims Control Over Iran Airspace&nbsp;</h2>
<p>Israel also claimed they had gained control of skies over the Iranian capital and warned “Tehran will burn” if more missiles are fired at its territory.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The Iranian leadership, however, remained defiant and vowed a “more severe and powerful response” and threatened to widen the war by striking ships and bases of Israeli allies.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Iran Calls Off Nuclear Talks&nbsp;</h2>
<p>The latest round of nuclear talks between the US and Iran, scheduled for Sunday in Muscat has been called off, said Oman which has been mediating the talks.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albuasaidi announced the development in a post on X, a day after Israel launched the sweeping air offensive against Iran.&nbsp;</p>
<p>A senior US official also confirmed to Reuters that the talks have been cancelled, although Washington remained committed to the negotiations and hoped “the Iranians will come to the table soon.”&nbsp;</p>
