India Is Now the Leading Smartphone Exporter to the US, Overtakes China: Report

For the first time, India has become the leading manufacturing hub for smartphones sold in the US in a quarter. The numbers correspond to the second quarter (Q2) of 2025. The subcontinent has overtaken China as uncertainty grows around the Asian nation’s trade deal with the US. China’s share in the US’ smartphone imports, in Q2 2025, fell 25 percent from 61 percent in Q2 2024.
