<p data-pm-slice=”1 1 []”>US President Donald Trump claimed again on Wednesday that he prevented war between India and Pakistan, allegedly by leveraging the trade negotiations as a deterrent. Trump, who has openly expressed his desire to win a Nobel Peace Prize, speaking at the NATO summit once again insisted that he had resolved the conflict via a series of phone calls focused on trade.</p>
<p>”In the last few weeks, we took care of India and Pakistan, Kosovo, and Serbia. The Congo is coming in, and Rwanda is coming in; that was a vicious war that went on. We did two others in addition to that. Nobody’s ever done anything like this,” he said.</p>

I said, ‘If you’re going to fight each other, we’re not doing any trade deal.’ The General from Pakistan was in my office last week. Prime Minister Modi is a great friend of mine. He’s a great gentleman, a great man. I got them to reason, and I said, ‘We’re not doing a trade deal if you’re going to fight.’ They said, ‘No, I want to do the trade deal.’ We stopped the nuclear war,” Trump added.</p>

<p data-pm-slice=”1 1 []”>Amid the constant claims by Trump about the India-Pakistan ceasefire, the Indian government has rejected it repeatedly about trade talks influencing the trade de-escalation. According to the Indian government, the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan independently agreed to an immediate ceasefire. India has strongly denied the involvement of any third party in the decision.</p>
<p>Tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad escalated after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, with India carrying out precision strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the early hours of May 7.</p>
<p>Pakistan attempted to attack Indian military bases on May 8, 9, and 10. The Indian side responded strongly to the Pakistani actions.</p>
<p>The on-ground hostilities ended with an understanding of stopping the military actions following talks between the directors general of military operations of both sides on May 10.</p>
<h2>Won’t Get Nobel Peace Prize For Stopping War Between India, Pakistan: Trump</h2>
<p class=”p1″>Earlier, Trump said that he won’t get a Nobel Peace Prize for “stopping” the war between India and Pakistan or for his efforts in the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Iran conflicts.</p>
<p class=”p1″>In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Friday, Trump said, “I won&rsquo;t get a Nobel Peace Prize, no matter what I do.” He started his post by mentioning that he is &ldquo;very happy&rdquo; to report that he has arranged, along with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a &ldquo;wonderful&rdquo; treaty between Congo and Rwanda, in their war, which was known for &ldquo;violent bloodshed and death, more so even than most other Wars, and has gone on for decades&rdquo;.</p>
