Sri Lanka captain Charith Asalanka dropped a simple catch to dismiss Towhid Hridoy, but the latter was soon run out after a stunning direct hit by Kamil Mishara. It is the first match of the tournament for Sri Lanka, and captain Charith Asalanka won the toss and opted to bowl. On the other hand, it is the second game for Bangladesh, having already registered a win over minnows Hong Kong. This is a crucial Group A clash, a group which also features Afghanistan.
