Apple executives have reportedly discussed the possibility of purchasing Perplexity to alleviate its AI woes. As per the report, the Cupertino-based tech giant has held internal discussions about the acquisition, and it has been weighed by the head of acquisitions and mergers, Adrian Perica. If such a deal goes ahead, the iPhone maker might use the technology to develop a native AI-powered search engine.
