ABP Exclusive: Even after facing a crushing blow in <a title=”Operation Sindoor” href=”https://news.abplive.com/topic/operation-sindoor” data-type=”interlinkingkeywords”>Operation Sindoor, where nine terror camps and eleven airbases were destroyed by India, Pakistan continues its hostile rhetoric on Kashmir. Pakistan’s self-styled Field Marshal Asim Munir, who recently glorified slain terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir as “martyrs”, remains fixated on the region, even as the situation in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) spirals out of control.

Exclusive information accessed by ABP News reveals that the debt-ridden Pakistani government has been quietly selling off properties originally belonging to the PoK region. These properties, historically tied to the erstwhile princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, are located across Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Assets Sold To Repay Loans?

Records from Lahore’s Land Administration indicate that since 1961, Pakistan has sold off at least 35 PoK properties. Notable among these are:

Haveli Dayal Singh, Kashmir House, Lunda Bazaar and Poonch House in Lahore

Raja Bazaar, Sarai Khurd and another Poonch House in Rawalpindi

Sarai Maharaj in Sialkot and Kahuta

Forest Guest House in Jhelum

Two entire villages in the Sheikhupura district

While Pakistan claims these sales are meant to repay its ballooning debt, currently at Rs 63 trillion (US$224 billion), sources suggest the proceeds may also be fuelling terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir through groups like LeT and JeM.

PoK Government Kept In The Dark

Shockingly, the PoK government was neither consulted nor informed of these transactions. Experts allege that some of these properties were sold at throwaway prices to individuals close to the Pakistani establishment, further raising suspicion.

Pakistan’s federal budget for this year stands at ₹15.73 trillion, with nearly half allocated for debt servicing. The secret sale of heritage buildings and urban land—some of archaeological significance—paints a grim picture of Pakistan’s internal desperation and continued proxy war strategy against India.
