Ubisoft scrapped its plans for an Assassin’s Creed game set in the Reconstruction-era US after the Civil War over fear of political backlash, according to a new report. Citing sources familiar with the matter, the report claimed the game would have featured a former slave as the assassin protagonist taking on Templars and members of the Ku Klux Klan.
