Instagram has rolled out its Map feature in India, allowing users to share their last active location with selected friends or groups and explore location-tagged posts, Reels, Stories, and Notes. Available on iOS and Android, the feature lets users customise sharing, block certain areas, or turn it off entirely, with parents managing supervised teen accounts. Updates include clear indicators for active sharing, removal of profile photos over tagged content, educational reminders, and a preview option showing how posts appear on the Map, enhancing transparency and user control.
