Vice Presidential Election 2025 Live Updates: The voting for electing the vice president has begun with a direct contest between NDA’s CP Radhakrishnan and Opposition’s B Sudershan Reddy. While many parties, including BRS, BJD, and Shiromani Akali Dal, have abstained from voting, the BJP-led alliance has a clear edge in winning the election.
The voting will continue till 5 pm. The counting of votes will begin after 6 pm, and the results will be declared later in the evening.
The Vice Presidential election was necessitated after Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from the position on July 21, citing health reasons.
