Swiggy and Zomato Raise Platform Fees to Up to Rs. 15 Amidst Rise in Festival-Related Demand

Swiggy and Zomato have hiked their platform fees in anticipation of the festive rush. Swiggy now charges Rs. 15 on orders, whereas Zomato’s platform fees has been hiked by Rs. 2 to Rs. 12. This price hike is said to be in anticipation of the surge in food delivery orders ahead of the festive season. Zomato is also reportedly testing a new VIP Mode which offers priority services to customers, at an extra charge.
