Amazon, in a recent statement, announced that its customers in over 1,000 cities and towns in the US will now be able to get same-day delivery of perishable goods, such as fruits, vegetables, cereals, and other groceries. The US-based e-commerce giant will charge a fee for same-day delivery. However, customers with an Amazon Prime membership will be able to avail of the service free of charge for orders above $25 (approximately Rs. 2,186).
