2 Women Killed In Shooting Spree At US Church, Suspect Shot Dead

<p>A peaceful Sunday morning turned tragic in Lexington, Kentucky, after a series of violent events led to the deaths of two women and left multiple others injured. The violence began with a traffic stop and ended with a deadly shooting inside a local church.</p>
<p>According to Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers, a state trooper had pulled over a vehicle near the city&rsquo;s airport shortly before noon after receiving a license plate alert. During the stop, the driver opened fire, wounding the trooper. Despite the attack, the officer survived and remains in stable condition.</p>
<p>Following the shooting, the suspect reportedly carjacked a vehicle and fled the scene. Authorities later traced the stolen car to Richmond Road Baptist Church. There, in a horrifying turn of events, the suspect opened fire on churchgoers.</p>

<p>The gunfire inside the church left two women dead: one aged 72 and the other 32, as confirmed by the Fayette County Coroner. Two additional individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital, one in critical condition and the other stable.</p>
<p>Law enforcement responded quickly and fatally shot the suspect at the scene. The individual&rsquo;s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of family. Preliminary findings suggest that the suspect may have known some of the victims at the church, though further details remain under investigation.</p>
