Trump Warns Iran Against Retaliation As UN Raises Alarm After US Strikes

<p>US President Donald Trump on Sunday warned Tehran against retaliation after Washington bombed three nuclear facilities in Iran.&nbsp;</p>
<p>”ANY RETALIATION BY IRAN AGAINST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL BE MET WITH FORCE FAR GREATER THAN WHAT WAS WITNESSED TONIGHT. THANK YOU! &nbsp;DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES,” said Trump in a post on X.</p>
<p>The US carried out precision strikes on three nuclear enrichment sites in Iran on Sunday, Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the United Nations raised concern over the US strikes as “dangerous escalation” in the region.&nbsp;</p>
<p>United Nations Secretary-General, Ant&oacute;nio Guterres called on the Member-States to de-escalate the hostilities and avoid a spiral of chaos.&nbsp;</p>
<p>”I am gravely alarmed by the use of force by the United States against Iran today. This is a dangerous escalation in a region already on the edge &ndash; and a direct threat to international peace and security,” he said in a post on X.</p>
<p>”There is a growing risk that this conflict could rapidly get out of control &ndash; with catastrophic consequences for civilians, the region, and the world,” said the UN chief.&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br />”At this perilous hour, it is critical to avoid a spiral of chaos,” he added.&nbsp;<br />&nbsp;<br />”There is no military solution. The only path forward is diplomacy. The only hope is peace,” Guterres said.&nbsp;</p>
