Oracle Said to Buy $40 Billion of Nvidia Chips for OpenAI’s US Data Center

Oracle reportedly plans to spend approximately $40 billion on Nvidia’s high-performance chips to power a new US data center for OpenAI. According to a report in The Financial Times, Oracle will acquire around 400,000 of Nvidia’s powerful GB200 chips. Located in Abilene, Texas, this data center is part of the US Stargate Project, aimed at boosting the US’ AI industry amid global competition.
