Trump’s Call With Russian President Putin Underway To Discuss Peace In Ukraine

<p>A telephonic conversation is underway between US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin over the war in Ukraine, the White House said on Monday.</p>
<p>Earlier in the day, US Vice President JD Vance told reporters that Trump will be asking Putin if he is “serious” about bringing peace in Ukraine.</p>
<p class=”paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph” data-uri=”cms.cnn.com/_components/paragraph/instances/cmav7k4c6000h3b6mrgekn376@published” data-editable=”text” data-component-name=”paragraph” data-article-gutter=”true”>White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that Trump has grown weary and frustrated with both sides of the conflict and added that his goal is to see a ceasefire and to see this conflict come to an end, CNN reported.</p>
<p>Trump is also expected to speak to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to make progress toward a ceasefire in the Ukraine War.&nbsp;</p>
