Sony said on Wednesday that it sees a JPY 100 billion ($700 million or roughly Rs. 5,975 crore) impact from US levies in the year to March and expects an operating profit of ¥1.28 trillion (roughly Rs. 74,353 crore). Over the first three months of this year, Sony reported better-than-expected operating income of JPY 203.7 billion (roughly Rs. 11,836 crore).
