Blue Origin Mission with All-Female Crew, Including Katy Perry, Completes Sub-Orbital Space Trip

<p>Blue Origin on Monday successfully completed a historic sub-orbital spaceflight with an all-female crew, marking a significant milestone in space exploration. The six-member team included pop star Katy Perry, who joined a diverse group of women for the brief journey aboard the New Shepard rocket.</p>
<p>The launch window opened around 8:30 a.m. CDT at Blue Origin&rsquo;s Launch Site One in western Texas.</p>

The mission, officially designated NS-31, was the company&rsquo;s 11th human spaceflight and lasted approximately 11 minutes. According to Blue Origin, the rocket travelled over 60 miles above the Earth, surpassing the K&aacute;rm&aacute;n line &mdash; the internationally recognised boundary of outer space.</p>

<p>The flight crew included U.S. entrepreneur and helicopter pilot Lauren S&aacute;nchez &mdash; fianc&eacute;e of Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos &mdash; television host Gayle King, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautics research scientist and civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn, alongside Perry.</p>
<p>In a post on social media a day before the mission, Perry wrote: &ldquo;I&rsquo;ve dreamt of going to space for 15 years and tomorrow that dream becomes a reality.&rdquo;</p>
